ABOUT US

Freddie’s Friends was started by Hayley Martin, a young mum receiving palliative treatment for colon cancer, in January 2015. Her little boy is called Freddie and the group is named after him.

The group initially met in Hayley's Room on the Charles Dickens Ward at Maidstone Hospital. However it was soon decided that it would be better to meet away from the hospital. 

​

The group is entirely volunteer lead by health care professionals from Maidstone hospital, KIMS hospital along side group attendees.
